I have a pickup load of maple slabs that I have cut into sizes from 1/4" to 3" thick x 4" to 2' wide x 16" to 3' long in 5 different styles called angel step, quilted, flame, birds eye and zebra. All have very distinct charactures.
I will take some pictures soon and post them.
This wood is 3 and 4 yrs cured in dry storage. This wood is high dollar if rated useable for guitars.
We cleared some land for a guy and part of the pay was all the wood we cut down. Out of one big big maple we cut a chunk 6' long and 28" across and got 4000.00 for just that one peice but the rest of the tree went for firewood nothing else was up to their standards. No pin holes even very strict codes.
Could box it in 20 30 50 lbs or what ever. You pay shipping or come an get it if you are in washington st. and what ever you have to offer for trade. No offer to small.

This type of maple has like 5 or 6 different grades. From a medium hard to very hard. The place I scavage from sells to guitar manufactures and wood speciality stores.
I have made end tables, picture frames, jewelry box's, handle grips for a pistol and more. Pictures soon.. :world

What do you need for trade, my Dad would have a blast with some of this wood making something! I will found out how much 20lbs of shipping is if I don't have anything you want to trade with.. :)

I will get to storage hopfully by the end of the week. If memory is right I have only a few really awesome book end piece's 10 or 12" wide 2' long and 1/4'+ thick. Its burle birds eye which is like the face of the guitar but more detail.. awsome stuff. As soon as I see what I have I will talk about the cost (Barter) then. Will do jd, I'm sure I have some that will work for a guitar. I have some spruce that they use in guitars also.
I will get to as soon as I can. Mabe you have the plans and you could give me minimum length, width, thickness.
That would make it a little easier for me to pick it out for you.. And I can weigh it cause you know how high shipping is now Let me know when you can... mos....
