I am new here, my sister in law referred me to you guys and this is my first posting. I have gained around 80 lbs this past 2 years and since Leslie (Jumboscampi) went on a diet and is exercising, I decided to do it with her. I will keep you posted.

thank you,
Suzanne

Are you looking to start a diet program? You would be much better off doing some researching online as we are not a diet forum. lol I recently started Isagenix, its a hard diet and sucks so I wouldnt recommend it!

It's some kind of nutritions? I rly dont believe in these things. I think the real vegetables/fruits are much better then adding this nutritions. And how much it costed to You? And effect?

I hadn't heard of Isagenix I had to google it. My friend used shakes for awhile but she didn't lose anything in the end. I think it is a personal thing, a bit like giving up smoking, you have to try and do what suits you the best. My son and his wife started weight watchers a few years ago and she lost a lot of weight, over 30 kgs and stopped, but she had a baby last year so is having a bit of problem losing that weight so have rejoined.

Yes exactly Anne. I have tried every diet imaginable, I have a very hard time losing weight due to an under-active thyroid so I keep trying until I find something that works and stick with it. The shakes are very hard to do because they dont taste so great and you are really starving all day until dinner!

Combine good exercises and healthy food. Sometime its good to go to nutrition specialist, and they will create Your own diet, that is only for You.

Yes Carey I don't think I am too keen on the shakes I really think a sensibly balanced diet is the best. I don't understand about thyroid that well I had an over active thyroid and my weight stayed steady and I had a once off radioactive pill and started putting on weight when the thyroid was corrected and it was supposedly normal. So you put on weight with an under active thyroid then?

Yes and it slows down your metabolism to a snails pace so even with dieting and exercise its very hard to lose weight!

I have an idea.

What if we all take a pic of our activities and send them to a dedicated thread ? It can be interesting and motivating for members!

Thoughts ?
