It looks lovely dani. Is the temperatures milder where you are living now, cos I know you hate the cold.

A Bed in the Leaves
By Marian Kennedy

My yard is full of leaves today
Brown and yellow and gold
I think I'll rake them in a pile
Higher than my head

Then I'll pretend it is my bed
I'll jump in very quick
And pile their leaves up over me
For covers soft and thick

I'll just lie there so nice and warm
And look up in the sky
And watch more leaves float down for me
To rake up bye and bye

My creek property out in the country is the same way. Beautiful. However here at the house I have a fall problem. The ladybugs are looking for a place to hibernate. When that happens they come in swarms. I was actually dusting them off of me today.

No they are ladybugs. I was wondering what was going on so I looked it up on the net and read an article about how they sometimes swarm on a warm October day looking for a place to hibernate. I didn't even realize that they did hibernate

I havent seen any swarming here either. we did find a baby copperhead snake in the leaves yesterday.
I thought they should already be hibernating

Watch out for those dani. I know it sounds weird but the little ones can be more dangerous than the big ones. Last year one of my cousins was bush hogging the upper pasture on his farm, knocked over a stump and found a whole nest of them.

You must be living in a place where you have high rocky ground. We have copperheads around here but you only see them in those types of areas
