Rival Software Question - Please Read

Vixen is battling with Rival right now about some of the complaints from players. She will be leaving soon for another gaming conference and would really like to hear feedback from the members.

If you have ever played at any Rival Casino and had bad experiences while you were playing the slots, such as:

Playing slot machines with high variances and winning and suddenly being locked out

OR

Winning big at a slot when suddenly kicked off and when you go back in the machine is gone

OR

Any kind of experience like that that made the casino some shady, PLEASE let us know the Casino and the circumstances. It is important that she have some information from players about these things to allow her more leverage to deal with this stuff and try and find some solutions or something.

Well I had been a big depositor, VIP type player for months. But I made the mistake of winning. And all of a sudden I was a bonus abuser, locked out of my favorites, banned from bonuses at others. No explanation no reason given. This was over a year ago. Then guess what, surprise surprise, two emails this week "apologizing" for previous management...

Force us to jump through hoops to get our payouts. Forced to resubmit ids and security documents. Slow SLOW payouts - no one to communicate with, waiting unreasonable amounts of time for payouts. Rival gets my deposits INSTANTLY, why does it take a WEEK to get my winnings... if my id is in, and especially if I've cashedout before and if I'm using my ewallet, there is NO REASON to hold MY money.

These reasons make me question their legitimacy as businesses. This industry already has it's share of questionable and shady characters, why are they adding themselves to that list by their own actions.

If they don't have enough staff, ADD A PERSON! Do what it takes to keep their players coming back. RTG Casinos can pay out in less than 12 hours, in fact several pay INSTANTLY. There is no legitimate reason to delay my winnings except to USE MY MONEY.... sorry, but that's wrong.

As far as the slots go, I find it very shady to have Scary Rich and Scary Rich 2 locked in at .01 when I'm playing a large playthrough. No limit other times, it goes .05 and .10 then.... When a place fiddles with things like that it looks like cheating. Also have experienced the convenient "cannot coordinate with server" just as I'm winning.... the terms may be different, but I'm sure you understand what I'm referring to.

Good luck Vixen, I do love their games. But I have too much integrity to allow myself to be treated shabbily. And I hate rewarding them with deposits - it's kind of like tipping after a badly served meal.

Love Rival - My favorite software! However I do have to agree with Labell on alot of what she said. Especially the part regarding the the max. amount per spin changing depending on the circumstances and I still have this gut feeling that the individual casinos have the ability to change how tight/loose the games are which in turn effects the payout percentage which to me is downright dirty and I would think illegal to some point.

On a positive note I think they have the best bonus's and award their depositers with alot more free chips than RTG and Micros.

They way I am feeling now is with the strong possibility of legalized online gaming coming soon to the US you would think that the casinos/software dist. would be bending over backwards to please us US players but that doesn't seem the case with any of them (RTG/Rival/Micro) or maybe they are figuring that with the licensing/regulations they will no longer be a part of the US market.

The sad thing is : The ones who are demonstrating this shady behavior are putting a blemish on Rival itself.The old expression is "Birds of a feather flock together" therefore you will assume that all of the casinos within the Rival group will eventually do the same thing.

There were too many too soon.Reminded me of the GFeds. Everybody and there brother had one. Not quite as bad as GFed....yet.

I limit myself to 2 Rivals that I play at because I do love the software and I have had no problems with them,but if something isn't done to weed out the unsavory ones I am afraid Rival will be on the list of rouge casinos.

Hope I made sense since I have been sick for two damn days if, not brush it off as the ramblings of an old woman...LOL!!

Just like IK Vikings I love their games.
The older ones that is, Scary 1+2, these are the best high variancegames ever made if you ask me.

I've not seen any shady things myself, like games that disappear, but I'm a lowroller if ever there was one.
I think that the bonusbanningsystem they use did them way more harm than good.
There's no human interaction as far as I know, the system just flags you when you cash out too soon after clearing WR (then HIGHER THE WR, NITWITS!!), or if you get lucky and cash out too much or too often.

This is stupid, because they dont seem to realise that once you've banned a player from promotions, the player wil never return.
I always feel kinda insulted when they ban me.
I'm just a player, I want some playtime for my money, thats all.
A real bonusabuser goes shopping for cashable bonuses with blackjack allowed, playing perfect strategy until the WR is cleared.
A real bonusabuser stays away from the slots as far as he can!
Face it, promotions are a very important marketingtool.
And if a promotion is well designed, there cannot possibly be any harm for the casino.
The software does its job.
That is, if its truly random ofcourse..

A casino needs winners.
Treat a winner like a king and he will return and lose it back.
Insult him and he will never come back and lose the money elswhere.

Funny thing is, the only Rival that does not bonusban players, Vegas Regal, seems to be doing fine.
While many others went down, VRC is still alive.
Won 100.- on my birthday, cashed out sundaymorning, got my money monday afternoon. (that was a surprise, yes)

Hi, I agree with labell also. I am very upset this morning because of a withdrawal that I made on the 10th which I have expressed on the forum already. I guess we're not using casino names but I was supposed to send them copies of credit cards that I used for deposits done in 2009, one that I no longer had. Anyway I sent in the documents and received an approvel of those documents back on the 13th. I check this morning and the money is still not in my QT account and I finally receive an email saying that they are still processing my withdrawal and that it should be sometime at the end of the week or early next week. I have spoke (argued) with Live Chat about 6 times and they each give me that same answer. LATER ON IN THE WEEK OR EARLY NEXT WEEK.....this is unacceptable. If they are going to say on their website that they process a withdrawal in 2 to 5 days then they should abide by that. I won this money with free money they gave me to try and get me to play in their casino again. I was so excited that I won and after making the withdrawal even made a deposit but I have to tell you that I am fed up with being treated like a "Red Headed Step Child" by most of the Rivals. Last winter I won fairly big on one of the Rivals and before I did that I was treated like a queen. They sent me two fantastic bottles of wine for Christmas but then I got in after I did the withdrawal it said No Promotions Available as did allot of the other Rivals I played. I was crushed. Now one by one they are saying that they have looked over my account and I can now have the Promotions again. What's with that? I didn't do anything to have them take them away from me in the first place. It is time for most of them to staighten up their act or close up shop as far as I'm concerned. I have to admit that I still love Vegas Regal. I think their still one of the great ones.

I agree with labell and everyone else. I can be playing and doing great then..can not connect to server, please check internet connection. Very strange because i leave and check it and at the bottem of my pc it says..connection EXCELENT! Pisses me off because i will log back in and lose like crazy. I use to deposit all the time with SS, MF, Pan, RB, SLOTO, And all the others but here of late it is only VR. I had cashed out a small amount awhile back and was asked for docs again. I mailed and told them i had already sent them a year ago but they said they needed them again and all the old cards i used. I didnt have them anymore..they were gift cards and i tossed them. It wasnt any problem and i got my win in 5 days. Still love VR and that is the only one i will play with now. I hope they stay reputable. The playthrough requirements are insane though and bonus is always sticky. With those 2 against you its tough to win but possible. Just wish it would be one or the other and not both.

Wow your all giving me such great feedback, I cannot thank you enough for your honesty. Rival needs to read these post and they need to understand it is not forums or affiliates damaging their reputation and business, it is them doing this to themselves for allowing such unfair things happen within their licensed casinos.

Thank you all these post and please keep them coming in! I hope that these post will help Rival become an honest gaming software provider, it is never too late to start to clean up their act!

Just another observation or two. I have now received the third VIP status "welcome back" free chip from another of the ones who banned me- over a year and a half ago! I only belong to one other forum, and today received an email asking for Rival information like we've discussed above. Interesting to me that Rival might truly be interested in what the player thinks... and maybe they'll straighten it out.

I find it amazing that as businesspeople they don't seem to realize that they are creating their own delays with this slow processor. Each day delayed in the payout is another time we "bother" live chat. If they're interupting the processor's work to check on status it just creates more delay. It ties up the chat operator's time and becomes a vicious circle with no end.

Interesting too that my cashout from Saturday arrived this evening. Within the 2-5 day time frame... amazing though that live chat told me not a half hour before that: "We are sorry to inform you that there are certain unforeseen delays with withdrawals this week. For this reason, your cashout could not yet be processed. At the moment we cannot give an exact time or date, but we expect to have it all resolved by early next week. The withdrawals should also be processed sometime during next week. Hopefully sooner[SIZE=+0] We apologize for this delay.[/SIZE]

HUH? Does that mean they really didn't know it was being processed at that moment, or does it mean that they leave you on hold, act like they're checking and then lie about it? Neither is a very nice thought.

I had the same thing recently also labell, spoke to live chat who told me sometime during the week and within about an hour it was processed. It is strange.

I forget now what brought me here in the first place (something in this thread that Bonus had remarked about at another forum) but I had to register to compliment this saying which I have been echoing for years but the mindset of current online casinos, especially those facing the states: are very lacking in an understanding of what people in the states are expecting.

Or they just flat don't give a crap in which case they will not be around too long (as has been proven by many Rivals being taken back over by the software company or Bonnie Chance, not sure how all that fits together)

But anyway, kudos to

I would take that another step to point out something a bookie I worked with ... 30 years ago (ouch) ... used to say when he'd lose a ton because the home team covered the spread that week.

I"m only letting them hold the money for a little while, gotta do that, but its not lost.

So very true. So with that in mind, it is extremely poor business vision to treat players like Rivals have done.

Credible starts with on time payments and the giving same as you get. Casinos get their money instantly (so to speak, they do risk chargebacks) so you should, IF lucky enough to beat the tiger's odds, be paid in a timely fashion in respect to understanding that online gambling has understandable reason for taking longer to pay out than a land casino.

But whatever that extra time needed, it should be noted to the player before hand, and then kept to under that schedule.

And don't get me started on how STUPID banning winners is: for running a casino operation, have they never heard of streaks?

And I know from personal experience that the bannings happen FAR too soon to ever take the possibility of that player simply being on a winning streak, out of the equation.
