I have been a player at Bovada for about 3-1/2 years.......I've made multiple deposits generally in the range of 100 to 300 USD about once a month/every other month.....not a HUGE amount, but not insignificant either.....

It is my considered (and by now EXPERIENCED ) opinion that the CASINO games such as Blackjack and Video Poker are totally 100% RIGGED to deal or produce skewed results that make it almost IMPOSSIBLE for any serious player to win there playing these games......it is sad, but true.

When you play their Blackjack games, either the 8 deck, double deck or SINGLE deck versions, you will see a series of hand results that DEFY belief.....OVER AND OVER again. It never changes.......now bear in mind I am not saying I NEVER win or won a HAND, I obviously have...but what ALWAYS happens is, if you are looking to play for more than 2 or 3 hands (say a session of 100 hands), you will experience results that are no where near acceptable statistical limits (say within 3 standard deviations of expected range) The number of times the computer/dealer receives natural Blackjack is at least 3 to 1 (or more) than the player.....the number of times the computer/dealer MAKES a hard hand (i.e. turns a 13,14,15 etc) into an 18,19,20 etc is ridiculously high......and the worst part, the higher you take your bets (i.e. attempt to win back after a series of losses) the more this happens. I've seen it over 3-1/2 years.....it ALWAYS happens that way.

The Video Poker is even more egregious.....the advertised PAYTABLES on all their games are nearly 100% (usually between 99.2% all the way to 99.9) on games like 9/6 Jacks or better, 8/5 Bonus poker, 9/6/5 Double Double Bonus etc. Normally these are GREAT games to play in a standard casino brick and mortar casino and you can count on your bankroll lasting at least a little while to allow you some quality play time, with the reasonable chance of hitting a winner. NOT at all the case on BOVADA's casino website! it is borderline ABSURD the number of "DEAD" non paying hands you get with the Video Poker games; the best you can hope for is to receive a lot of EVEN money hits (like a pair of kings on JOB etc) which technically count as "WINNING" hands.....you will NEVER see any premium winning hands (like a four of a kind on DOUBLE DOUBLE BONUS, or the NEVER seen ROYAL FLUSH!) I am serious, the frequency of winning premium hands on Video Poker at BOVADA is about 1/3 the normal rate of expected frequency on a standard Video Poker machine in a regular casino, and that is being generous. Case in point (one of MANY): Quads should appear about once every 440 hands on a standard machine.....on Bovada it is more like once every 1500 hands, which means the really great quads (like Aces) will almost never appear!

Anyone else out there know what I am talking about here????? I complained ONCE and received the standard circle jerk response from some nameless, faceless "representative".......they did NOTHING to address my issue or provide anything more than a hollow assurance their games were working "according to established regulations and parameteres"......whatever the flip that means!!!

Only their Poker seems marginally fair, but even there I have seen a lot of "fishy" stuff, namely their cash games always seem to hit Maximum rake every hand (i.e. the flop always hits atleast two players' hands to ensure enough betting action to yield the maximum house rake, or profit for Bovada! that is not normal...) And of course, the fact that all Poker players are totally ANonymous (i.e. they all have a NUMBER and not their name) is really annoying and prevents any type of read on your opponent.

I have resisted the urge to do a charge back on my last several deposits where the results were especially ridiculous (but I will NEVER deposit any more with this site).....in my opinion, save your money for a REAL brick and mortar casino, where IF you end up losing, at least they will feed you some good food like a steak or buffet!

does not anyone else here have ANY actual REAL experience playing on this site?

Here is the simple truth....if a player actually goes back and LOOKS at their game play, the results of hands on their blackjack for instance, the statistical analysis will yield a picture that is SO far and away disparate from what a FAIR, normal black jack game will yield that no other conclusion is possible. This has NEVER changed in all my time playing (i.e. the SAME thing happens each time!)

If you complain, or even just ask simple questions like "How do you (Bovada) explain this obvious problem?" they simply offer hollow generalizations on "variance" to explain away the aberrant results.

it is truly awful......DO NOT PLAY at this site

To be honest, I dont play BJ or Video Poker much online. I only play the slots. I will only play those at landbased casinos. Of course they are rigged, many are, slots also, all gambling is rigged so to speak, you just have to be one of the lucky ones that is playing at the right time! LOL

Vixen, thanks for whatever effort you can afford to spend on this, I actually was hoping there would be other players here who might have read this post and had similar experiences......

I have scoured the internet looking for online forums or reviews (like the ones here at THIS forum) which have info or posts on BOVADA, and I came across several (so far); I am open minded and wise enough not to simply BELIEVE everything I read on the internet (lol), and in some of the posts I have read so far about Bovada (particularly about their POKER games, which actually my post does not emphasize, but which I do also have alot of personal experience with), it appears the writers are simply disgruntled online poker players who suffered a bad beat. Please note, in online poker, a player is theoretically playing versus other humans, but as has been revealed in the scandals of BLACK FRIDAY (with FULL TILT, POKERSTARS and Absolute Bet), these poker sites can and do employ sleazy tactics like having their own employees play in cash games and tournaments to limit the payout and increase the house take!

I can provide you via email my personal account info, if needed, to allow you (or whomever) to actually review my play over the last month or two so you can see, hand by hand, what happened when I played their Blackjack and Video Poker.

Obviously, I am not going to get anything out of this other than, perhaps, some sympathy or (at best) some input from other players who experienced similar fishy, distorted, statistically improbable results.......theoretically, of course, if (IF) you can find enough people who report the same aberrational results, and who all had THE EXACT same losing experience, then you could do a (one time) chargeback if you used a credit card, but obviously, if you do this you burn your bridges with the company and will never be able to play there (or likely ANYWHERE else) again online! Kind of a "win the battle, lose the war" deal......but on the other hand, IF the site's games are truly THAT impossible to win with, then perhaps it is a bridge worth burning?!?!?

I have played at Bovada for YEARS as well, and their slots are becoming increasingly tight as time goes on. It is obvious to anyone who plays there on a regular basis. I'm curious what their payout % is these days. I have been spending my $ elsewhere for about a month now.....

Of course please send to me anything you have at Marketing@streakgaming(DOT)com. My name is Christine and am happy to help if I can and also I wanted to ask have you spoken to anyone over at Casino Meister? They have a POB section that could help, please explain to Max that Bonustreak(My Forum Name There) sent you over to see what he thought.

Good luck with everything and I had no idea poker staff played in games at some poker rooms.. that blows but it does not surprise me.
If you don't have an account at Intertops please let me know maybe I can help you there and they are for sure trustworthy!!

wow thanks vixen!

I actually never had even heard of intertops! I am going to check them out for sure.......

Also, I will take your advice with casino meister and see what that yields......

As to online poker, I do not know what you may know with regards the whole "black friday" of 2011 scandal, but since then it has been revealed that a lot of shady dealings with online poker rooms was going on (and probably still is.....)

When it comes to playing games like texas holdem online against what you believe to be human competition, there are certain elements that you never can really know for sure......one common tactic (that is technically illegal) is for a "team" of players to all sit at the same cash table (or enter the same tournament or sit n go) and then communicate via online messenger (NOT THE CHAT service available in the actual poker room, but via something like Yahoo messenger or AOL), or perhaps via CELL PHONE.....and they collude, telling each other their cards and rigging the betting to get other competitors out or give themselves an advantage. That is also a concern....

But yes, in full tilt poker's case, they actually had employees sitting in on games and deliberately screwing with the betting and other tactics so as to make it less likely the company would have to payout (which in full tilts case was essential since the company had raided its own coffers and did not have enough money to pay all its depositors! it was essentially a PONZI scheme!)

Any one out there lose a lot of money when the US DOJ froze out all US customers from the online poker companies on Black Friday???

I live in the US so no intertops for me... I'm not a member at CM b/c their form to fill out for an account is like three miles long LOL.

I used to do really well at Full Tilt, cashed out all the time, no problem. Those days are gone for US players, unfortunately.

Ughhhhh lost like $1,500 on Black Friday. WORST DAY EVER.

dang! That sucks jodi, I totally sympathize, although I was at least fortunate enough NOT to have any balance at all with ANY of the poker rooms when black friday hit, but my brother lost about 380 bucks on Pokerstars, but eventually he did get it back sometime last year when Pokerstars settled up with all their USA players (Pokerstars has been trying to get a casino license in Atlantic city NJ so I am sure they wanted to cultivate a lot of good will in the process!)

Casino Meister's site has a boatload of INFO on this topic so I am just now starting to absorb it all! But suffice it to say I am done with BOVADA! I am actually a MOSTLY LAND BASED (BRICK & MORTAR) casino player, and the last 5+ years the VAST majority of my gaming action and budget has been utilized in Atlantic City....of course, that is another sad story altogether, what is happening with AC and its beleaguered, VANISHING casino market! I will start a new thread soon to discuss that particular tragedy!

I am sorry to hear of your experience's at Bovada. I can tell you a story of my own about this casino. I've played there for 3 years. Had a couple of experiences I was a little upset over and wrote them to get a short to the point response. I stopped playing there for a short time. I had an email from them about my play back bonus and said I had money in my account. I left it untouched for the second time. Again a couple weeks later, another reminder so I opened it to find my playback bonus was $136 and some cents. I played it up and down a few hundred dollars and just thought I am going to bed. I had it all the way down to $45, decided to go to $5 red white and blue seven machine. Two loaded pulls and nothing on my third pull, I had a red 7 a white 7 and it kept spinning to the point of thinking, I lost my connection.... that wasn't the problem as I got up to turn my PC off, it stopped on the blue 7. I had to take a double take but seen what I thought was $5139 and change low and behold, I woke my visiting mother and said come check this out,I can't believe this thing paid off....
She started crying ( as I was tired and had my glasses off to turn in for the night )
She said, are you sure that's for real? I said , sure it is. She says, you won $51,390.00
No, I put my glasses on and holy cow, it was indeed a progressive win and Bovada paid it as requested, my faithful $3000 a week over 17 weeks. Now I know what I've read about the casino in past, not very good reviews. I can assure you Bovada is not one to throw you a free bonus and if so its only a few dollars but they are straight up and I have to say, if your ever a lucky winner there or Slots.lv they pay, they are straight up and they are not rigged at any way. This is another reason I love playing these two casinos. Not reading the fine print since I know the policy, I didnt realize until my last couple wins in December and January, they automatically put your wins on your form of payment you used. They say a few days but a Friday win was in my visa account on Monday morning. That's pretty awesome. Sorry for your loss there but i encourage you to try them out again. I have noticed, the slower I play on video poker, seems to be better results in my winning. Video poker is my game for sure. I've hit three royals in a month there after like you, was pretty frustrated to the point of ticked.so I hope you try them again and never play the casinos with any attitude other then a good one. Seems to me, when I have a good one, I win and a bad one, well it can suck a couple hundred to a couple thousand. I never say, " I'm going gambling," I say, "I'm going winning" good luck and play safely. ;) Lisa
